DATE: 24TH OCTOBER, 2026
The attention of the Egba Integrity Group, Evaluation & Strategy Desk, Abeokuta, has been drawn to the response of the Ogun State PDP Publicity Secretary to our Political Evaluation.
We stand by our evaluation, but in the interest of facts, we provide verifiable references and invite the PDP to point out any specific falsehood with documentary evidence, so we can make corrections.
*FACT-CHECK WITH SOURCES:*
*1. GOVERNORSHIP TICKET BLANK ON INEC FINAL LIST - TRUE*
INEC final list of governorship candidates published Oct 10, 2026, pursuant to Section 32(1) Electoral Act 2026, contains 13 candidates for Ogun State. PDP column is blank.

*2. PDP AFFIDAVIT OCT 15, DEADLINE OCT 24 - TRUE*
PDP deposed to sworn affidavit at Federal High Court Abuja Oct 15, 2026, filed pursuant to Section 32(2) Electoral Act 2026, which gives 14 days to complain about omission.
_Source: ValidViewNetwork Oct 15 sighting of affidavit by Hon. Umar Bature. Deadline Oct 24 confirmed by INEC._
*3. TOPE OLUSEGUN PETER DRAMA - ON RECORD*
Letter to INEC giving 48-hour ultimatum to publish his name as PDP candidate is published and on record. We note his subsequent denial in Abeokuta that he never purchased nomination form. We report both as part of the confusion in the party.
*4. MASS DEFECTIONS - DOCUMENTED*
300+ members of PDP/LP/ADC defected to APC in Odeda LGA Oct 22, received by APC Chairman. This is a direct consequence of ballot uncertainty.
*5. OGUN CENTRAL SENATE - THE REAL QUESTION*
We confirm: Suit No. *FHC/AB/CS/117/2026* filed by *Sogbesan Amoo* vs INEC, PDP & Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello is real and pending at Federal High Court, Abeokuta, adjourned to *Nov 3, 2026* for further mention.

Core issue: Whether candidate's name was in PDP membership register submitted to INEC under Section 77(4) as required.
We note the chronology on public record: Joined APC Feb 2026, resigned May 31, 2026, received PDP flag June 17, 2026. The Supreme Court judgment of Sept 24, 2026 in _INEC v Zenith Labour Party_ which affirmed Sections 77(5)(6)(7) & 84(2) - that only persons whose names are in the register submitted 21 days before primary can validly participate - therefore raises serious legal questions.
We also note the response of her aide, Dr. Odun Agbalajobi, that she was not a party to the Supreme Court case and has not been disqualified by any court. That is correct. The big question is, should she have been listed in the first place?
*OUR CHALLENGE TO PDP:*
In our personal opinion, we have stated verifiable facts. If any is misleading, kindly provide:
a) The INEC acknowledgment slip showing Adebutu's name in the register submitted under Section 77.
b) A CTC of the membership register submitted to INEC containing his name.
c) Any court order restoring PDP to the ballot after Oct 10.
Until then, our conclusion stands: PDP in Ogun is in disarray and presents an opportunity for stable platforms like Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to absorb aggrieved progressives.
We await your factual rebuttal, not insults.
