Residents across Remoland have lauded the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the inauguration of the Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Remo, as well as other infrastructural and landmark projects.
The residents gave the commendation during an interview with Journalists, saying the Governor had made tremendous and impactful contributions to the State that align with the broader economic vision of President Bola Tinubu.
Among the residents who spoke, Secretary of Sagamu Local Government, Prince Kolawole Onalaja, stated that the full impact of the Gateway International Airport and other significant contributions of the present administration would be better appreciated in the future, stressing that the Governor had placed the State on a pedestal of economic boom.
In his contribution, General Manager of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, Prince Adekunle Soile, commended the State Government for its commendable foresight in Remoland, noting that the successful execution of the project had become a point of immense pride for the entire community, highlighting the area's strategic importance to Ogun State, he emphasised that the location serves as a vital hub for both travelers and investors.
Speaking, one of the traders, who resides in the area, Mr. Olusola Somefun, lauded the Governor for taking the bold step of implementing and completing the first International Airport in the history of the State, despite unfair criticisms.
Also speaking, a driver along the Sagamu-Iperu axis, Alhaji Mojeed Olalekan, described the project as a laudable landmark through which Governor Abiodun had written his name in gold, noting that the airport would be of immense benefit to all and sundry.
