Monarchs, Traditional Heads Business men honour Ijidele as he buries mother with glitz and glamour in Adja Quere at Republic of Benin



It was roll call of eminent personalities,monarchs and Traditional Heads from Nigeria and Benin Republic as Engr. Sunday lawrence Ijidele buried his mother in blaze of glory.
The well attended burial ceremony took place in Adja Quere Near Ipobe in Republic of Benin on Saturday 11th January, 2025.



At the burial held at the Catholic church of Adja Quere, the Officiating Reverend father described Late Madam Elizabeth Gbemisola  Ijidele (nee Adechi) as Mother of the Catholic Church of Adja Quere.
He charged the deceased's children to follow the good steps of the Late Matriarch and worship God always.

" You late Mother is an ardent christian and she didn't deviate from the Godly ways during her lifetime.  Mama used her Church's Chairperson title to put this church in better form like this.I implore you imbibe Mama's good gestures towards humanity and the church.

"I want you to be rest assured that Mama's good deeds will make paradise for her there" the Reverend father stated.

In his remarks, Sunday Ijidele said" Our late Mother was a Godly and  a faithful mother who didn't take church attendance with levity. She taught us to imbibe and follow this footsteps and we have been doing in it"

 Mrs Juliana Ijidele while extolling Mama's virtues said"  Our late  was 102 year of age, but I am still pained by her demise. Granny was a gentle matriarch like a dove and she always told us to always put God first in all our doings.

" Mama is an affable person. Her grandchildren will really miss her".

In their separate remarks, Pelumi Ijidele and other grandchildren described the deceased as a kindhearted granny who always doted on the  grandchildren despite her old age and till her death.

The Balogun of Igbooro and traditional head of Igbooro, Chief Ijiola, High Chief Abidemi Akorede, stated that the deceased was a selfless women leader who has contributed immensely to the development of Igbooro while she was living there till she moved to stay with her children in Lagos.

Balogun said " It is because of Mama Elizabeth Ijidele's good deeds that prompted  presence of We, the chiefs of Igbooro here today.while High Chief Abidemi Akorede also added " I know mama in my younger days, she was lover of children. I implore those of us here today, especially women to always show love to children, embrace all and sundry because the absence of these good traits, make people to label someone with names that is unbeffiing  to him or her"

The duo of Mrs Deborah Ojugbele and  mama Leke affirmed that Mama left a good legacy for women to follow.

Monarchs from Benin Republic,Nigeria, like  Oloja odan of Oja odan, Olowobese Adetunji were present at the ceremony.
Prominent personalities also present included Businessman, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, members of Inumidun Squad, politicians from Benin Republic, Chevron staff f Lagos state and petrol dealers from Cotonou.

Comrade Isa owolabi, Manager of Ocon Success Bank,Oja Odan,Sunday Adesi, also graced the event.
As Segun Oluwole popularly known as Alawada was ditching rib cracking jokes, the Juju Band played melodius songs to the admiration of the guest.

Engr. Ijidele expressed gratitude to all the guests for honouring him with their presence
