Yesterday, Saturday 10th February, 2024 was indeed another memorable day in the life of the highly respected monarch, Olu of Owode-Egba, HRM Oba Aremu Kolawole Sowemimo, as the very handsome and highly resourceful king was honoured with award of ‘Alayeluwa Ajigbọtilu 2024’ by the publisher of ‘Bo se ri newspaper’, an indigineous online newpaper. The award which was presented by the Alayeluwa is one of apex honour from the stable of ‘Bo se ri newspaper’.
According to the publisher of the magazine, Mr Akintoye Adisa, the honour was bestowed on the revered monarch due to his immensely development brought to the Owode-Egba since he became king 13 years ago. ‘Kabieesi, we are not given you the award on the platter of gold, but for what you have done for your people, we have sampled opinion of people on your personality and all said good things about you, we have seen a lot of great developments you have brought to your people, we learnt about the less previledged people you have helped and we were very convinced that you deserves this award.
We heard about the joy you brought to the people of your kingdom, we have seen how you facilitated many developmental projects to your kingdom, Alayeluwa, the award we are given you today, is a well deserved one sir.
In his response after receiving his award, Oba Aremu Kolawole Sowemimo said ‘Infact, im very happy today, this award again has confirmed that people are watching and appreciating what im doing. To the glory of God, I have able to help many people in my kingdom, I have facilitated the construction of multi million Naira road project in my kingdom, I also facilitated the plainting of mini station transformer in my doman, we are steadly enjoying constant power supply.
Let me also use this enviable opportunity to thank our amiable and performing governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for making life meaniful to us, our governor has done well for us in Owode-Egba, we thanked and appreciated his excellency for bring lot of development to us. As Oliver Twist, we are still begging our amiable to bring bank to us, our security is viable, our people are passing through lot difficulty time to get money from Sagamu and Abeokuta, we have making lot of efforts to get bank to us, but the bank management are not helping us at all, governor should help us on this.
