....Set- up physically Challenged Colleague in Business.
The newly elected Chairman OGS'88 set of CMS Grammar School, Lagos, Biodun Ogunlabi has assured that the welfare of the members of the set and upliftment of OGS in general shall be paramount in his administration as he takes mantle as the newly elected Chairman of OGS '88 Set.
Ogunlabi gave this assurance while delivering his inaugural address after he and the newly elected Executive members of the set were sworn- in after presentation of certificates of return for a tenure of 2 years, by Chairman of the Electoral committee, Gbenga Akanji at the Annual General Meeting/End of the year Party of the Set held at 2, Itohan Street Ikeja, Lagos.
He thanked members of the past executive for their efforts and achievements, which he promised to build on with his team.
Ogunlabi also implored the newly elected executive to work assiduously in order to take the Set to greater height.
The newly elected Chairman at the occasion, on behalf of the '88 set presented a sum of 500,000 Naira to a physically challenged member of the set, Mr Taiwo Ogunbekun aka Olympic to start a business of his own.
He assured that the society will continue to support him on his medical efforts at recovering back his sight.
The highly elated 'Olympic' thanked the society for the kind gesture and promised to utilise the fund judiciously.
In his address, the President of Old Grammarian Society of Nigeria, Cyril Agbekeme represented by the third Vice President, Gbenro Adepase stressed the need for the set to come on board of the OGS Central.
Agbekeme encourage the newly elected executive to close rank and ensure agreaved members are brought back to the fold in order to foster more unity of set.
Earlier at the Annual General Meeting, the outgoing Chairman, Ogunlabi Abiodun who presided at the meeting gave account of steward of the outgoing executive.
The detailed financial report of the set for the last one year was also presented by the financial secretary, Joseph Alabi during the occasion.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of award of excellence to deserving members of the set.
